⚡ GTX 1080 vs. Newer GPUs
The GTX 1080 may be an older GPU, but it still packs 8GB of GDDR5X VRAM and strong raw gaming performance.
In traditional 1080p gaming, the GTX 1080 can deliver performance in the neighborhood of cards such as the RTX 2060 / RTX 2060 Super, depending on the game.
Where newer RTX cards have the advantage is in features such as hardware ray tracing, DLSS, and newer-generation encoder technology.
If your priority is raw 1080p gaming performance for the money, the Phantom gives you a lot of performance without paying the premium for a newer RTX system.
